The Excellent Life of Shaikh Nasr as-Sa’dee رحمه الله

[53 mins]  The virtuous Shaikh, the scholar of Fiqh, Tafseer and Usool, the masterful author, the great scholar of Qaseem in his era, Abdur Rahmaan ibn Nasr as-Sa’dee. The Shaikh was known to pay special attention to aqeedah and fiqh.

Born in the year 1307 on the 12th of Muharram. He memorised Qur’an and mastered its recitation before he reached the age of 11 years. He then engaged in seeking knowledge, studying with the scholars of his city and those who visited. He received an ijaazah in the six main books of hadeeth.

He was dedicated to following the way of the Salaf, he would follow the aathaar (narrations) and the Sunan. From the signs of his high rank and virtue is that a number of his students became the senior scholars of their day, among the most famous of them was Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen رحمه الله.
